Hey folks,

So, I want to make sure I’m not only sharing the bright and rosy part of my life–and ensure that I’m sharing the not so happy parts.

As I’ve shared before, Cha Cha has been having seizures. Usually it’s once a month. They weren’t very bad for a while and usually lasted for about 1 to 2 minutes and then she’d be back to her happy, bouncy self.

Well, last night she had a series of seizures in a row and they were more intense than her previous ones. Kristie and I had to rush her to the pet hospital very early and they’re observing her. She’s had a seizure since we’ve left and the hope is that the medication they’re giving her will improve her situation.

I’m going to be 100% honest with you: I’m not okay. Like, at all. As you know, we love that little dog so much. Seeing that lil yorkie face is what helps me deal with the doom and gloom I have to cover. And I know many of you might have had experience with dogs having seizures–and whereas I would appreciate the info you could share, I don’t know if I can process an influx of what ifs and maybes at this time.

Just asking that you pray for our little sugar wolf. Praying to God is what I’ve been doing this morning when I get a moment of clarity. This pain of not knowing what’s the cause of her seizures brought me to tears this morning. I sobbed after we left the emergency room. It also felt weird going home and seeing her little toys lying around but no little click-clack noise of her collar coming down to play with them.

Again, I’m sharing this because I think it’s important I’m not just sharing the happy-go-lucky stories in my life. Doing that would mean presenting a false version of my life. For now, I’m just praying for some improvement and some answers as we prepare to get her on a steady medication plan.
